This straightener made by XTAVA is amazing, I have really thick, frizzy, long, curly, coarse hair and, it takes me forever to do my hair! I have tried many different brands, ranging from $20 to $300 straightners and none I have ever tried was better than XTAVA. This was been a life saver! Most are painful because the plates pull one or two strands of hair and break them off, with this straightener I don't have that problem. It runs smoothly through my hair not pulling a strand! I love it and it is the best one I have ever owned!
The plates are Tourmaline Ceramic plates, I did some research on this and found that, Tourmaline is a crystal boron silicate mineral that, aids in the hair smoothing process which, prevents pulling, breakage and damage to the hair. It also seals in moisture and counteracts frizz. It is added to the plates by being crushed up into a powder and then baked into them. The ceramic heat up faster than other plates, such as the aluminum and gold plates.
This is a very good price for such a wonderful straightener and it is worth way more money! I was in total shock as soon as I opened the box. It comes in a very nice box and it has a heat resistant carrying case so that, you can pack it up even when it is still . The bag has a silver lining inside of it so that it protects the bag from burning or the straighten iron from melting the bag and getting it all over the iron. The first thing I noticed when taking it out of the box, is how long the cord is, even with it wrapped up you can tell that it is professional grade flat iron because, the cord is so long for hair stylists to have enough length to do their customers hair.
The second thing I noticed, was the elegant look of the iron, it is a very fancy high quality straightener. The third thing I noticed, was when I plugged it in the bright LED screen showed the iron heating up by the degrees' changing as it heated up, which it does very fast. The iron heats up to 430 degrees in no time! I love that the buttons are on the inside of the straightener so that, while you are using it you will not continue to press buttons changing your degrees and turning it off and on. I'm so impressed with this flat iron that I have showed everyone of my friends and family that has came to my house since I received it.
I am very satisfied with this flat iron and the only thing I would change about this is, I would like, the plates to be wider. That's only because, I have so much hair and it would half the time it takes me to do my hair because, I could straighten more hair at a time. I have to break my hair in small sections when straighten my hair because, of the thickness of my hair. I have to spend a lot of time doing my hair. I have posted before and after pictures but, please excuse me, I dont have any makeup on and I'm in louging clothes so, I look crazy.
